Daudziem Galena liekas nepazīstams un, iespējams, neizteiksmīgs rūgtuma apinis. Vēl pats neesmu ar to iepazinies, bet ceru to šogad izdarīt, jo aug labi.
Mani tā iegādei pamudināja šāds apraksta fragments: "This variety has higher myrcene oil content than most hops which brings the aroma of sweet fruits such as grapes and peaches, while at the same time having the essence of woody or grassy elements. The balance of myrcene with the other oils brings a moderate and pleasant aroma making it applicable for aroma additions. Galena is the most "mellow" hop of the high-alpha varieties, and has replaced Cluster as the most widely grown US hop."

"Fresh green juicy citrusy with a spicy tangerine aroma. Lots of fresh, leafy hop flavor, lots of citrus, ample bitterness. Citrus flavors are lime, tangerine, and grapefruit juice."
