Aludarių taurė 2016

"Aludariu taure 2016" will be held on May 7-8, 2016 in Vilnius.

I will post any official information as soon it is available. However, we don't plan any changes in regulations or format compared to previous year. Short summary:
- any beer style is accepted,
- you should register your entry before competition, registration opens on April 1st,
- registration fee of 3 euros per entry has to be paid latest April 20th.

We will arrange pick up of Latvian entries from Riga.

May 7 to May 8 is Latvian homebrewers event. The 1st full weekend of May, as usualy before.

The competition itself is a closed event. Only judges are allowed. There is no any public event on the first day. We will have a public event on the second day and the award ceremony is public, of course.

We had competitors from Latvia last two years. Last year Ugis Narvils was awarded silver in the category of 33 entries. You don't have to participate yourself to be eligible to submit an entry. And we never had a visitor or judge from Latvia for all previuos 4 "Aludariu taure" events. Well, at least I'm not aware of any. It looks like tradition will continue this year as well :)

So my point is you can submit beers for the competition without personally being there.

I would love to visit LT event (for judging for example). but can't be in 2 places... so - žmogšala homebrewers part will be a chance to see at least something.

We have 35 brewers and 116 beer entries. There is no beer from Latvia this year.

On Sunday, May 8th, we'll have our traditional public event. Entry is free. Address: BeerHouse, Vokieciu g. 24, Vilnius. Starts at 12. The award ceremony is at 18.

Please note, categories had more then one sesion excluding IPA and wheats, where all entries were judged in one session. For anglo-american ales, stouts & porters, belgian ales and lagers category winners were ranked by result in final.
